Add a site map to your site and have it submitted to Google

This add-on will make it easier for search engines to index not only the pages of your site, but also all of the categories and products, too.

This is not the SiteMap which comes as standard with our eCommerce sites. It is an XML based SiteMap which queries the product database and creates an XML file that search-engines can use to more effectively index the pages, products and categories on your site. In short it's basically a list of URLs in your site. Sitemaps can also provide extra useful information for each URL to search-engines, such as when it was last updated and how important each link is in relation to other URLs within your site. Sitemaps were originally developed by Google, now sitemaps.org maintain the specification. Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft are amongst many that support this feature.

Once your site has had the siteMap added, we will perform a one-off submission to Google to index your pages.

XML SiteMaps do not influence page rankings, nor do they ensure that all pages will be indexed. eStoreBuilder.co.uk makes no guarantees that either your search-engine page rank or position in the search-engine listings will improve. An XML file is merely a tool to assist in SEO. We do not claim that by using XML indexing we can 'Give you a top-ten listing in Google' or 'Get one million hits to your website' and so on. The outcome is entirely dependent on the effort you put in and the relevant tools you use. In being honest with our customers we don't make promises that cannot be upheld.
